The 2025 edition of the RIDSCo–Lafarge Bursary Examination (Batch A) was successfully conducted today at Remo Divisional High School, drawing participation from a large number of talented students across Sagamu Local Government.
The bursary initiative, facilitated by the Royal Initiative for the Development of Sagamu Community (RIDSCo) in partnership with Lafarge Africa Plc, is specifically designed to support academically gifted students from Sagamu who are currently enrolled in tertiary institutions. The programme aims to ease the financial burden of higher education while motivating students to sustain academic excellence.
Participants in Batch A underwent a competitive examination process, which serves as a key stage in determining beneficiaries of the bursary award. The initiative reflects a shared commitment by both organisations to invest in human capital development and promote access to quality education within the community.
Meanwhile, organisers have announced that Batch B of the examination will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Candidates who have been shortlisted for the second batch will be duly contacted with relevant details ahead of the exercise.
The RIDSCo–Lafarge bursary programme continues to stand out as a beacon of opportunity for young scholars in Sagamu, reinforcing the importance of education as a tool for community growth and long-term development.
