The Board of Trustees (BoT) and key stakeholders of the Sagamu Youth Association (SYA) have formally unveiled the list of newly selected executives to the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, alongside the Chairman of the Royal Initiative for Development of Sagamu Community, Sammy Ogunjimi.
The presentation, which marks a significant step in the transition process within the association, also included the submission of the full copy of the amended SYA constitution—an effort aimed at strengthening governance structure, promoting transparency, and aligning the association with modern youth development objectives.
In addition to the unveiling of the executive list, the BoT and stakeholders announced the constitution of an inauguration committee tasked with organizing a befitting swearing-in ceremony for the incoming leadership. The move underscores a collective commitment to continuity, unity, and structured leadership within the youth body.
Sources within the association noted that the development followed extensive consultations among stakeholders, ensuring that the emergence of the new executives reflects broad-based consensus and the interests of Sagamu youths.
The Akarigbo, while receiving the documents, is expected to provide royal guidance and blessings, reinforcing the traditional institution’s support for youth-driven initiatives and community development. Similarly, RIDSCo leadership reaffirmed its readiness to collaborate with the new executives in advancing developmental programs across Sagamu.
The unveiling signals a new chapter for the Sagamu Youth Association, with expectations high for impactful leadership and sustained engagement in community growth and youth empowerment initiatives.
