Community development for peace and progress of Sagamu Local Government communities through individual and corporate participation
RIDSCO harnesses the resources available to the Sagamu Local Government communities from corporate organisations, businesses and individuals and channel them for optimal social and physical development for the benefit of the communities in Sagamu Local Government area.
In doing this, RIDSCO relates with companies, organisations and individuals within the communities in identifying threats and areas of neglect within the community and contributing both financially and or otherwise, towards eliminating them for overall peace and harmony.
RIDSCO formerly SCDC was founded in 1998 while the present Executive Council was inaugurated by His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Sir. (Dr) Michael Adeniyi Sonariwo, FCA, CON, KJW, Erinjugbo II, Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo Land at his Residential Palace on Sunday, 29th May, 2011 with the following Terms of
Reference:-
1. To foster growth and development of the Community.
2. To ensure peaceful co-existence within the Community.
3. To formulate ideas for transforming the Community to an ideal destination for Investment.
4. To be the workforce needed to formulate and chart new directions, working through the committees recommended in the steering committee’s reports.

3. HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT.
4. BUSINESS AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT.
5. INTERGOVERNMENT LOBBY.
6. RELATIONSHIP WITH LAND OWNERS OF INDUSTRIES SITED IN THE COMMUNITY.
The Royal Initiative for the Development of Sagamu Community (RIDSCO) has an Executive Committee of thirteen (13) members to run its affairs and works through nine (9) standing Sub-Committees.
RIDSCO has an enlarged council of about forty-five (45) members.
There are four Principal Officers – Chairman, Vice Chairman, General Secretary, Assistant Gen. Secretary and nine (9) other members.
