The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, has facilitated the donation of a fully-equipped bus to the Sagamu Youth Association (SYA), urging members to deepen their commitment to community growth and service.
The donation, delivered through the Royal Initiative for Development of Sagamu Community (RIDSCo) under the leadership of Sammy Ogunjimi, was made possible by Transit Gas Nigeria Limited. The presentation ceremony took place at the Akarigbo’s palace in Sagamu, drawing notable community stakeholders, youth leaders, and development partners.
Speaking on behalf of the monarch, Ogunjimi emphasized that the gesture goes beyond mere donation, describing the bus as a strategic tool to enhance mobility for youth-driven initiatives, including outreach programmes, developmental engagements, and empowerment activities across Sagamu.
He conveyed the monarch’s charge to the youth to embrace responsibility, unity, and innovation in advancing the town’s progress, stressing that their role remains central to shaping the future of Remoland.
“This bus is not just a vehicle; it is a tool for growth, unity, and service. I expect the youth of Sagamu to use it responsibly and contribute meaningfully to our collective progress,” Ogunjimi stated.
Leadership of the association, led by Olugbenga Isiaka Lawal, popularly known as Ambassador Easy, expressed deep appreciation to the monarch, RIDSCo, and the donor company for the timely intervention. The group pledged to deploy the bus effectively for programmes that will strengthen youth engagement, promote skill acquisition, and foster community development.
The initiative further underscores the Akarigbo’s sustained commitment to youth empowerment and sustainable development, reinforcing ongoing efforts to position Sagamu as a model hub of community-driven progress in Ogun State.
