Sagamu indigenes currently pursuing higher education have been given a new opportunity to benefit from the 2025 Lafarge/RIDSCo Bursary Award, as registration officially opens for qualified applicants.
The bursary initiative, a product of Lafarge Africa Plc’s community development commitment in partnership with the Remo Initiative for Development of Sagamu Community (RIDSCo), aims to support Sagamu youths in achieving their academic goals while reducing the financial strain on their families.
Who Can Apply?
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be a bonafide indigene of Sagamu Local Government Area.
- Be in the penultimate stage of their studies—300 level for university undergraduates or HND I for polytechnic students.
- Note that students enrolled in NOUN and other distance learning programs are not eligible.
Application Process:
Eligible candidates are expected to:
- Complete their registration online at https://ridsco-ng.org/bursary/.
- Print out the filled form.
- Submit the printed form physically at the RIDSCo office.
The deadline for all applications is September 26, 2025.
Lafarge’s bursary scheme has, over the years, become a major boost for Sagamu students, with many past beneficiaries acknowledging its impact on their academic journey. Community leaders have also lauded the initiative as part of Lafarge’s wider Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts that continue to uplift Sagamu residents through education, empowerment, and social investments.
